Meet the Founder- Jason Durrant

Throughout his careers as a clinical dietitian and then owning his own gyms, Jason realised how many people experienced the same problem that he did.

Jason was overweight as a kid and then became bulimic in his early twenties. The problem was that healthy food tasted so bad, and unhealthy food tasted so good. Food is either healthy, or tasty. There is no in between.

Determined to change that, Jason began creating his own meals—taking the foods we all love, like burgers, Italian, Mexican dishes, dessert and reinventing them with fewer calories, less fat, and little to no added sugar.He didn’t have much money so everything was done with simple, basic ingredients.

His friends started to ask him to cook the same things for them because it tasted so good, which started Jason’s journey into the food service industry

“When I got healthy and started to look and feel better, my life became so much better. My goal is to change as many people’s lives as possible through their health so they can experience the same thing I have experienced.

Deep down I am a fatty. I am obsessed with food, but the problem is that healthy food is made by people who enjoy eating healthy. I wanted to make something for people like me, which turns out (when you consider the fact that 40% of the country is obese) there are a lot of us!”

We have access to more healthy food and education now than we ever have, yet we’re more unhealthy than we have ever been.
